I was confused alright, like when Ox first meet Joe Bennett. Also, the many characters had me confused and halfway through, it just got me thinking of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. As it turns out, I did enjoy it but also wished that it was not as lengthy (400+ pages!!!). I was secretly hoping for this to be better than The House in the Cerulean Sea. From there on, Ox has new friends who really take on with him and a new adventure begins. One day, his daily routine was interrupted with the emergence of the Bennetts who occupy the vacant house next door. His father left them when he was young, and he has learnt to fend for himself until Gordo took him under his wings when he was 15. It's about a lonely boy named Ox who lives in a small town with his mother. Wolfsong is the first book from the series, Green Creek. It was first published on June 20th, 2016. I am surprised that this was actually a reprint and not a new novel. E.Thanks to Tor Books and NetGalley for this copy in return for my honest review. 'Like being wrapped up in a big gay blanket' - V. Wolfsong is the first book in the Green Creek series by bestselling author TJ Klune. Except now he's a man - and Ox can no longer ignore the song that howls between them. Violence flared, tragedy split the pack and Joe left town, leaving Ox behind. Ox was twenty-three when murder came to town, and tore a hole in his heart. Joe is charming and handsome, but haunted by scars he cannot heal. He also finds an ally in Joe, the youngest Bennett boy. Drawn to their magic, loyalty and enduring friendships, Ox feels a gulf between this extraordinary new world and the quiet life he's known. For the family are shapeshifters, who can transform into wolves at will.

Ox was sixteen when the energetic Bennett family moved in next door, harbouring a secret that would change him forever. Ox Matheson was twelve when his father taught him a lesson: Ox wasn't worth anything and people would never understand him.
